Learning Support Officer – Applications close Monday 11th December 2023 4:00pm

St Francis Xavier Primary School is a Catholic school that operates under the governance of the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL) with approximately 480 children from Foundation to Year Six. Our school is situated in a rural pocket of Ballarat East, just minutes from central Ballarat and has a rich tradition of providing quality education and care for children from the City of Ballarat and surrounding districts.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the Part Time, Fixed Term position of Learning Support Officer to commence at the beginning of January, 2024.  The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.

The successful applicant will be subject to a Working with Children Check and a National Police Record Check.

Classroom Teacher Full Time – Fixed Term – Applications close Monday 11th December 2023 4:00pm

 

St Francis Xavier Primary School is a Catholic school that operates under the Mercy charism with governance from the Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL). Our school has approximately 470 children from Foundation to Year Six. We are situated in a rural pocket of Ballarat East, just minutes from central Ballarat. We have a rich tradition of providing quality education and care for children from the City of Ballarat and surrounding districts.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the Fixed Term, position of Classroom Teacher to commence on 29th January, 2024.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children and hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic School.

The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning. An understanding of the principles of Structured Literacy approach to learning would be an advantage but not a necessity.

The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.
