Physical Education

At St Francis Xavier Primary School each child has a 45 minutes lesson with a Specialist PE teacher.  Then another lesson with their class teachers to follow up, re-visit, extend their skills and abilities.  In our senior classes children have the opportunities to play Inter-school sport with other Catholic Primary Schools and also be a part of netball, Football, Soccer, Cross Country running, Golf Clinics, Badminton sessions and swimming lessons.

Our school celebrates not only the importance of physical activity to overall health and wellbeing, but also for teaching important life skills. At St Francis Xavier Primary School, we aim to provide all children with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports to enhance their ability to work as part of a team and interact with others in positive and fair manner.

There are Inter-House sports competitions, such as the annual athletics carnival and opportunities for children to increase their fitness level throughout the SFXCELLING first break running club.
